Shows the old engine shed (no longer connected to the main line).
The track is not fixed - just a possible feature with the Glaskasten being worked on as a project (it's a non-runner).
The disused snowplough is a "feature" that seems to appear on our layouts.

Re: BelmontBahn progress
The modern part of the town.
Only the station building is fixed & is a replacement for an earlier temporary building as this part of the town that suffered damage during 1939/1945.
The Multi-Story Carpark will probably stay where it is but will be shown as a derelict building about to be demolished.
The Fire Station ? Not too sure yet where it will go.

Re: BelmontBahn progress
A couple of prototype trees looking a bit lonely.
I'm well pleased with these & only need about 200 more.
The forestry ground needs to be sorted as does the backscene.

Re: BelmontBahn progress
The last month or so nothing much has happened to BelmontBahn. However, a lot has happened on BelmontBahn.
I have tested/repaired/serviced most of the traction fleet, only 5 locomotives needing further attention & 1 to be "DCC'ed".
The rolling stock is taking it's time, but only around 6 sets to do now - see "Tips & Tricks "https://notthemodelrailforum.com/viewto ... ?f=21&t=60)
From tomorrow I'll be working on the layout itself with a "target date" of December this year to have the front section complete & the 1st stage automation done.
Need to decide on setting out the modern part of the city (around the station) & will post up an image later & would appreciate some input.

Re: BelmontBahn progress
At last !
I've now finished checking all my rolling stock (carriages & wagons). All the back-to-backs checked, coupling checked & entered onto an inventory.
Boring stuff but all stock is now serviceable.
Still got some non-essential work to do such as adding tail lights, populating & lighting passenger coaches & some weathering.
Most of the locomotives were completed last month - around 10 to complete, 2 awaiting some spares, 2 awaiting DCC conversion, 4 awaiting minor tasks that require me to be in the right mood to do & 1 awaiting a friend to modify the pickups.
I've also decided to replace all the track & points in the storage loops.
Hopefully, next month & September will see the backscenes painted & September will see the new trees planted & the bulk of the scenics completed on the front baseboards.
October/November will hopefully see the storage loops relayed & the 1st stage automation completed.
If all goes to plan, BelmontBahn will be ready for the 2022 show season.
As from next week work will re-start on the layout itself.
